Chocolate Garden This Garden only has Truffles- it should be called The Truffle Garden
On our way out West we stopped off at The Chocolate Garden- in Coloma Michigan. The huge highway signs did their job.
It is found along a lovely road of peach orchards and lots of tourist food stops.
I was surprised that the chocolate factory only sold truffles- they are not my favourite way to enjoy chocolate- I used to sell them and got tired of them. I was looking for a huge variety of chocolate like you can find at The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. They were sold in packages that were quite expensive- They had chocolate souvenirs to buy as well.
One great option is the chocolate tasting bar- you get to pick three from a long list of small slices of truffles of your choice to try. You are told the best way to sample them is from white chocolate- milk chocolate to dark chocolate. We tried white chocolate raspberry, milk chocolate orange and dark chocolate strawberry and they were all very good. The texture was quite soft- I prefer a harder coating and a soft interior-
When we were there it was over 100 degrees and I decided not to buy any because they would have melted.
The setting is gorgeous and they have a wonderful patio to sit and enjoy a summer’s day. If you like truffles this is a place to visit for sure. Make sure to stop at all the other interesting attractions along the way –
